Well, we all knew that Xpress had a bunch of upgrades for the Pixel Z1 on the way. What we didn’t know is what they looked liked on the car or, that if you wanted to use 24mm batteries, you will need the brass chassis.
The reason for this is that you can’t mount the aluminum chassis stiffener (and the floating battery mount plate) nor the aluminum graphite battery mount to the graphite chassis. There are no mounting holes on the chassis for these upgrades.
Xpress has also posted some pictures showing the aluminum motor pod parts, aluminum upper arm mount and the aluminum L-clip ABS body mount set. In addition, you can see the aluminum knuckles and servo horn. All seem to be great additions to the car. Hopefully we’ll see them at retail soon!
