I ‘ve been hooked on RC from an early age. The first car I remember having was a Nikko Turbo Panther. From there I made the jump to hobby grade with cars like the Tamiya Wild Willy, Kyosho Maxxum and the first car I actually raced, the Losi JRX2.
Once I got my driver’s license though, I put RC aside and it wasn’t until I was in my 30s, and had kids of my own, that I picked up a transmitter again. I was soon racing offroad on carpet in winter and hitting the nearest outdoor track during the summer.
It wasn’t until 2018 or so that I was introduced to the Mini-Z craze. I had never raced onroad before but my youngest son wanted to give them a try. We both bought a couple of box stock cars and were soon racing every Friday at our local hobby shop.

While my box stock days are in the past, I continue to race 1/28 scale cars at my local club as well as national events. If you see me at an event, feel free to stop by and say hello!
